What is Sublimation?

Sublimation is particularly advantageous for garments with a polyester base or polyester coating. When subjected to pressure and heat, the dye on the medium sublimates, transforming into a gas, and is then absorbed by the polyester to reflect the design.

Notably, high-quality sublimation printing is durable and resistant to fading or cracking, resulting in a lightweight, smooth finish that lacks a harsh texture. Moreover, sublimation uses heat-sensitive inks, ensuring that the print remains vibrant even after numerous washes.

This makes it an ideal choice for sports uniforms, workwear, and promotional items. Additionally, because the printed image doesn't seal the fabric, it allows for breathability and moisture evaporation, further enhancing its suitability for various applications.

How it works

DESIGN
PREPARATION

Begin by creating or selecting the desired design to be printed on your chosen item, ensuring it's in a digital format suitable for sublimation.

PRINTING
PROCESS

A sublimation printer and special sublimation ink is used to transfer the design onto the sublimation transfer paper.

HEATPRESS
TRANSFER

The sublimation transfer paper is placed in the heatpress, the fabric/garmet added and the press then closed to transfer the ink to fabric/garment.

COOLING AND
INSPECTION

After the pressing time has finished, the heat press is opened, sublimation paper removed, and fabric/garment allowed to cool. Quality check done.

PANEL / SAMPLE
APPROVAL

You will then be provide with a panel or sample of the printed garment to approve before moving into final production of order.

PRODUCTION
AND DELIVERY

Production or full order is completed and checked. Order is then delivered to you.
